• Armorial stamped in front cover, the arms of a knight of the Garter. 
• Front cover detached and will need re-backing. 
• Some light watermarks through-out and some discolouration of pages near edge. 
• Edge papers stained in red ink. 

Sir John Leveson-Gower

Could have come from a monastery library because of this. Interior is in marvelous clear condition Ex libris of Sir John Leveson-Gower, (1675-1709) A wonderfully clear and still usable copy of a famous author’s complete opus, beautifully clear printing on lovely paper.

The front cover became loose so it has been expertly repaired by Barbara Smeltzer, Sydney.
